LED Light Facial
LED is suitable for all skin types and is a completely pain-free, noninvasive approach to working with light producing amazing results. During the past 10 years, independent worldwide research from organizations such as NASA has shown that light applied in the correct wavelength stimulates intercellular communication, resulting in skin rejuvenation.
LED is an un-intrusive soothing and rejuvenating treatment and will treat acne, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne scarring and rosacea.
LED light therapy uses light-emitting diode (LED) technology to activate and promote a positive change to the skin improving the overall texture of the epidermis, resulting in a more youthful, radiant appearance and texture.

What is LED light therapy?
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, which is a light source. During treatment an LED facial light is used to produce specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed into your skin. Your skin then uses this light energy as fuel to drive cellular reactions, such as the production of proteins and lipids that are required for building and restoring the skin, or increased intercellular communication and purification. As we age, our metabolism slows down, meaning our cells loose energy, and our body produces less collagen and elastin – the essential ingredients that support and nourish our skin.
Different colours represent different wavelengths of light. The different wavelengths have unique properties and can therefore be used to target certain skin conditions. For example, the wavelength of light that corresponds to blue light can be used for acne treatments. This is because blue light is absorbed by porphyrins, which are molecules that are produced by P. acnes, the bacteria that causes acne. On absorption, the light creates a chemical change, resulting in free radicals. The free radicals then kill the bacteria from the inside, without harming the skin cells. On the other hand, red light, stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin and thereby improves skin strength. On the other hand, red light, stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin and thereby improves skin strength, elasticity and plumpness and also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

- Temporarily removes fine vellus hair

- Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive skins (excluding those with metal allergies)
- There is no downtime – mild pinkness can be expected for 30-60 minutes
- Safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women
Results are immediate and will be seen with each treatment. We recommend Dermaplaning every 4-6 weeks depending on your own hair growth cycle, and treatments can be ongoing.
Will there be more hair growth and will the hair grow back thicker after the treatment?
No, dermaplaning does not affect the actual hair follicle. Every individual hair follicle has its own individual DNA, which we are born with. This will determine whether it is vellus (light, thin) or terminal (thicker, darker). Terminal hairs are predetermined, they tend to appear due to hormone changes such as pregnancy, menopause and hormonal imbalances. Some medications can also increase hair growth. Once the hair is cut it has a blunt edge, but this blunt edge does not mean that the hair structure itself has been physiologically altered. So therefore, Dermaplaning does not affect how your hair would regrow. It will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment.
Are there any harsh side effects?
No, there is no downtime with Dermaplaning. Initially the skin may be slightly pink due to the removal of hair and exfoliation, and increasing circulation of the skin. Some people can get slight faking of the skin after a few days which can be gently exfoliated at day 3-4. Please make sure to keep your skin well nourished and moisturised as recommended by your therapist. Due to the nature of using a blade, there is always the possibility of a small nick which we try our best to avoid, but it can happen from time to time. This is very superficial to the surface, and will disappear within 2-3 days. We also cannot treat those with nickel allergies due to the metal blade and possible reactions.
What does my treatment entail?
If you have not been to us for facial treatments before we will do an initial skin consultation to ensure there are no contraindications to the treatment such as allergies to metal and raised lesions. Your treatment starts with a cleanse to ensure all surface makeup is removed, we follow this with a solution to help further remove any surface oils and remaining makeup to ensure the skin is clean.
We then will proceed with your Dermaplaning treatment using a new sterile bladed handle which gently applies pressure as it ‘swipes’ back and forth across the skin on an angle. We will remove fine vellus hair from the full face with this action. This gives a clean controlled exfoliation to the skin along with removing the fine vellus hair. Once we have completed this we will complete your facial with the appropriate aftercare, SPF is applied after your treatment and recommended for daily use.
You can be pink after your Dermaplaning for an hour or so, and we recommend not to wear makeup on the day of your treatment to ensure skin is kept clean from bacteria. Possible ‘nicks’ can happen, however we do try our utmost best to avoid this, but due to the nature of the blade it is a possibility which is why we recommend having this treatment a minimum of 3 days prior to an event. If you have not had Dermaplaning before and wish to have it for your wedding, we highly recommend having a trial beforehand.
- Light shedding or flaking may occur within the first few days. You can gently exfoliate this at day 3-4.
- DO NOT PICK OR TOUCH SKIN.
- No chemicals including swimming for 48 hours after treatments.
- No harsh skin care including Retinol or exfoliants for 72 hours – please check with your therapist if you are unsure.
- No exercise or excessive sweating for 24 hours this includes sauna and steam rooms.
- DO NOT apply makeup for 24 hours after treatment (mineral makeup is fine to use)
- SPF30+ MUST BE WORN daily. We recommended physical SPF to avoid irritation.

Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure where we use a pen like wand with a diamond head, (not real diamonds unfortunately) to remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and reveal younger, healthier looking skin. Microdermabrasion is great for ridding you of skin build-up quickly and instantly. It’s ideal for those wishing to improve the skins appearance and reduce the signs of ageing, congestion, blackheads, dead skin cell build up, mild scarring, pores, age spots and rough thickened skin texture.
|Pre-pay for 5 and get the 6th free||$350|
|No Frills Microdermabrasion||$50|
|Add on a HydroJelly mask for your Skin Condition||$40|
How does Microdermabrasion work?
The skin grows from the inside out wards, cells are born healthy and plump, then they migrate outwards, reaching the skins surface as empty flakes to shed off naturally. As we age this fall off rate slows down and we get skin cell build-up. The extra cells look dull, uneven, they clog your pores, and stop your skincare from penetrating where you want it to go. To correct this, we use treatments that remove the excess cells from the surface like Microdermabrasion to speed up cell turnover and rid this dead skin cell buildup for softer, smoother, more radiant looking skin.
What type of skin can benifit?
All skin types can benefit from microdermabrasion treatments such as ageing, congested, flaky, dry, devitalized, thickened, blemished, dull and sun damaged skins.
You will be rejuvenated and refreshed, blotchiness, uneven skin tone and texture will be improved. Microdermabrasion will reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, chicken pox scars, brown/age spots, fine-lined wrinkles, dead skin cell build up, large pores, and other skin imperfections.
How many treatments are needed?
Microdermabrasion is a progressive treatment, not aggressive. Although one microdermabrasion will yield a fresher, smoother looking skin, generally results are realised after the fourth, fifth or sixth treatment. Initially treatments can be performed every 7-14 days.
Once the series of treatments is completed it is recommended that monthly maintenance continue in order to maintain the desired results, along with prescribed home-care products.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
Skin needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism. By creating micro “injuries” in the skin, new collagen synthesis is triggered.
We are excited to be able to bring the newest technology to the clinic.
Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired result.
- For collagen induction we recommend starting with 3 treatments.
- For scar reduction an average of 4 to 6 treatments are recommended.
The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds. Most people will begin to see results after the very first appointment.
What does CIT treatment help with?
- Stimulating collagen formation
- Tightening skin and restoring elasticity
- Softening fine lines
- Reducing the appearance of scarring
- Minimize pore size
- Reducing pigmentation and sun damage
- Improving your skin’s ability to absorb creams, gels and other topical preparations
What will I experience after my treatment – is there any downtime?
It is typical for clients to experience redness, tightness of the skin, severity of which will depend upon the aggressiveness of the performed treatment, for roughly 12-24 hours post procedure.
Red or pink hue like moderate sunburn may persist. There may be some noticeable swelling on the day. Skin may still retain a pink hue or return to normal colouring by the 2nd – 3rd day and swelling would have subsided. Some people have mild peeling of sloughed dead skin 3-4 days after the treatment. To help reduce these symptoms, it’s recommended patients avoid working out, wearing makeup and the sun for at least 24 hours following treatment.
How many treatments will I need to see results?
As each client has different skin types & concerns to address, your dermal therapist will conduct a skin consultation pre-treatment, and post treatment will able to determine how many sessions an individual will need to see results. However, improvement is noticeable after just one treatment.
What will I experience during my treatment – will it hurt?
CIT treatments have varying degrees of discomfort.
What aftercare is needed?
After your treatment, you will need to continue to use a good sunscreen. Do not use any active products for 48 hours after your treatment. Your therapist will recommend the appropriate product for your skin concern and type.
With our holistic approach to long-term skin health our bespoke facials are a personally tailored treatment delivering a complete experience; uniting clinical efficacy with luxurious relaxation.
During the treatment your Skin Therapist will devise a treatment plan and home regime specific to your own unique skin needs to ensure you achieve optimal skin health.
We use a variety of cosmeceutical based peels that we can chose from depending on your skin’s needs.
